@rafer article seems to focus on site side redirects. what does this mean for truncated URLs? Also found it ironic that Cutts refers to ‘site:’ as the best way to see if 301s are working in search. A query we know doesn’t count truncated URLs.

@gross First, I think they need to rotate Cutts out of this job, which he seems to have held since Thomas Edison’s time. He’s in a rut, which is bad for the ‘Net (which G doesn’t care about) and also bad for G. Second, how are we supposed to believe that cross-domain redirects are completely different than intra-domain redirects. @toddsampson and i need to finish Shortery, so that everyone has the option of intra-domain redirects for each and every link.
